Abbas responded to the overwhelming requests to collect all his writings in one place and he obliged his thousands of readers in an attempt to piece a puzzle of modern history together. Another, more serious reason the author found he had to do this was that under an increasingly policed state along with diminishing freedom of expression, the articles were starting to disappear from the Internet and elsewhere. Very true reflection of many events.
Wael should be thanked profusely for capturing, so well, so many moments that would have been easily lost to history if it had not been for his bravery and his insistence on recording, speaking out, writing and disseminating his work. He writes insightfully, factually, seriously and thoughtfully about events that have shaped the world as we know it. Readers are often looking for other articles he has written once they have read one of his and so this collection is a great resource for those interested in recent events of our time.
