I purchased this book after I had found examples of the Author's photos online. Carl presents photography and composition concepts in a simple, but not simplified format. He points out the important stuff, and also some new ideas to this reader. This book was bought in preparation of a cross country trip, both as reading material, but also a tutorial. I appreciate that he covers the basics such as sunset/sunrise lighting situations and the rule of thirds but also the little tips along the way - like how to take pictures through a fence at a zoo, or when you want to keep both the fore and background in focus. I enjoyed the book and have referred back to it several times for help with composition and other tasks. He did a good job of identifying how to make the ordinary photo extraordinary with an easy to understand and affordable ebook.Product details
