Interesting story line, but I'm missing elaborerande of the story.
A story like this could easily get complicated but through the eyes of Ryo we are guided into this alternate timeline. A real page turner that had me wanting to know what happens next.
I'll give it three stars for ingenuity, but the science part is just not believable. The story takes way too long to gel between the two main characters making them both not very likable. In a novel, a writer MUST have a character that you can like, neither of these characters are a least bit likable. The plot is also not believable, changing history does not automatically guarantee that the plot will go the way it is intended especially when you are killing, or in this case, not killing Hitler. It is a good try though by the author but manipulating history does have it's drawbacks.
Yuck.
Just Yuck.
The teaser was the most enjoyable part of the story, the remainder degenerated into a Humanities major rant on the universe.
Interesting premise. A good book to fill the void while waiting for other books to be published.
Just couldn't get into it. The writing seemed to be almost disjointed...there was little sense of anything happening beyond the three or four major characters. It felt like a short story was stretched into a novel.
A commendable original effort. I liked the counterfactual history background against which the action takes place. Most impressed.
I haven't read much alternative history and was pleased to find this so fun. It was well written and obviously well researched. The author had to invent a plausible time machine. I enjoyed the clear personalities of the three main characters. Recommended!
